Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Medical University is one of the best medical universities in Sindh province. It is a recognized medical university, formerly known as Chandka Medical College. The CMC was renamed after former Pakistani Prime Minister Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto. Founded in 1973, CMC began its journey that same year in 1973 with the first line of 150 MBBS students. The university now offers HEC-accredited undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate programs. CMC is affiliated with Pakistan Medical and Dental Council.
